Trump warns Republicans his supporters won’t vote if the party doesn’t make ‘voter fraud’ priority

Former President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Republicans as he continued to repeat his allegations of voter ‘fraud’: back his ongoing efforts or Republicans ‘will not be voting’ in the off-year elections and beyond.

Trump made the threat in one of a flurry of statements from his ‘Save America’ PAC Wednesday, after once again claiming he ‘won’ the election.

If we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented), Republicans will not be voting in ‘22 or ‘24. It is the single most important thing for Republicans to do.’

Trump’s attack comes as GOP leaders are eyeing the 2022 elections as potential takeover opportunity, with Democrats holding just three-vote majority in the House. The Senate is split 50-50.

Former President Donald Trump, who held a rally in Iowa Saturday, warned that Republicans won’t vote if the party doesn’t ‘solve’ what he called ‘fraud’ in the 2020 elections

With covid still raging, built-in advantages, historical trends for off-year elections, the GOP stands a chance to stop or slow much of the Biden agenda with a strong performance in 2022.

Trump’s push comes days after he secured yet another example of his takeover of the GOP – even after his election overturn effort which followed Joe Biden’s electoral college and popular vote win.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, the Senate president pro tempore, stood on stage with Trump and accepted his endorsement at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, in a state that launched Trump’s improbable 2016 win.

‘Trump won! Trump won! Trump won!,’ his Iowa supporters cheered.

‘He did. He did. Thank you,’ said Trump.

Grassley, 88, is seeking his eighth Senate term.

Said Grassley: ‘If I didn’t accept the endorsement of a person that’s got 91% of the Republican voters in Iowa I wouldn’t be too smart. I’m smart enough to accept that endorsement.’

Grassley had blasted Trump the day after the riot. ‘Sadly, yesterday he displayed poor leadership in his words and actions, and he must take responsibility,’ he said then.

Trump has not yet said if he plans to run again in 2024, but he enjoys broad support within the GOP and has been flexing his muscles through other endorsements, going after ‘never Trumpers’ while GOP legislators seek to change state election laws.

A group of anonymous GOP lawmakers said in a recent article in the Hill they hoped Trump would not win. But few are willing to confront him by name on the record.

Trump blasted a House select committee probing the Jan. 6th Capitol riot earlier Wednesday.

‘Why isn’t the January 6th Unselect Committee of partisan hacks studying the massive Presidential Election Fraud, which took place on November 3rd and was the reason that hundreds of thousands of people went to Washington to protest on January 6th?’ Trump said.

‘Look at the numbers now being reported on the fraud, which we now call the “Really Big Lie.” You cannot study January 6th without studying the reason it happened, November 3rd,’ he said, again suggesting he won.

‘If we had an honest media this Election would have been overturned many months ago, but our media is almost as corrupt as our political system!’ said Trump.

Democrats pounced on Trump’s statement within minutes.

‘Like we’ve been telling everyone — the Republican Party is Donald Trump’s party, and this is what happens when Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy bend over backwards to indulge his dangerous lies, failed leadership, and complete incompetence,’ said the DNC, mentioning the Senate and House minority leaders.

‘Republicans can’t have it both ways — they can’t kiss Donald Trump’s ring and then also refuse to answer for his most egregious lies that led to the violent January 6 assault on the Capitol and continue to undermine our democracy. Donald Trump’s stranglehold on the Republican Party speaks to their complete ideological bankruptcy and is the anvil around their necks going into 2022.’
